Goal

Checkmate the opponent’s king. Play vs CPU, pass-and-play, or online.

Controls

• Tap your piece, then tap a highlighted square to move.
• Legal moves and captures are shown as dots or highlights.

Rules

• White moves first. Each piece type moves in its classic way (king, queen, rook, bishop, knight, pawn).
• Capture by landing on an opponent piece. You may not move into check.
• Castling, en passant, and pawn promotion are supported when legal.
• Checkmate wins. Stalemate is a draw.

Modes

• CPU — play as White against the computer.
• Pass-and-play — two players share the device.
• Online — create or join a room with a friend.

Tips

• Develop pieces early and castle to keep your king safe.
• Don’t hang pieces — check what the opponent can capture next turn.
